Birthdays, I have not really spent that much years doing me birthday. It is because of my grandparent religion not allowing to celebrate holidays or celebrating birthdays as well, because of living with them i was raised up on it and was not able not to do it. Plus I love my grandparents and didn't want to disappoint them, also my mother also part of the religion as well. I don't really regret learning the religion and all i just thought i would nice to do other things. So when me and my dad moved to Kona it was my chance. I have able experience the feeling of celebrating my birthday it was unprecedented, also being able to holidays for 3 years. I was so happy that my grandparents did not exacerbate of me leaving.
The difference of being able to the holidays and birthdays is that you spend a lot money, not just for your self but for others to. Before when i didn't do holidays my grandparents would spoil me it was nice but I kind of got sick of it. I wanted to work for the stuff that I get and be able to experience a time where money is something that you just anything you when ever you want. That's what i experience when i moved to Kona I have learned that home cook meals are way better then going to the restaurant or going to the beach in stead of going shopping everyday. I thought it was imperative. So I think that Birthdays are different and yet fun at the same time. (267)

It takes plenty courage to break away from the beliefs of your family members...how cool that you could really appreciate celebrating holidays and your birthday! Not being able to experience as a young child makes you appreciate them all the more, I'm sure...
