I remember this one time that I failed that I was in the band concert and I had a solo to do for a winter concert. I had missed a note and it sounded really ugly, I was embarrassed after that.I felt like I wanted to relinquished the band it was that bad, because of the loving support of my band director and my best friend. They had encourage me to not give up and keep trying, they even help me on there private time so that i could be able to get that note. The note that I had to make was very high it was very hard me to to make. Even with the 4 years of experience behind my back I was never able to make until the loving support of my friends I was bale to over came it. After being able to make that note it felt that I could do anything and felt invincible. Everyone was so proud of me and i was able to a chair up meaning my position became even more important then before. I was outing first chair because of the hard work and demotion that I had. I believed that nothing is impossible and it always good to get help form someone. they might have a different then you and it might work out for you. I think the reason why was so berate on myself is normally i kind of invaluable, meaning i never messed up. Well during concerts not during band practice i mess a lot in band practice, but that makes a better player. (269)
As a violin player, I understand the struggle to make notes sound good...and it's super nerve racking to play in front of others.
ReplyDeleteNot too sure where you got the word invaluable...that's not one of our vocab words.
